Peace Climb Mount Everest Chili Powder.
.
It was good to have Barbara Fromm in the store that
day back in 1989.
She took the spices for the Mt. Everest climb with her. Just as
she left, on the spur of the
moment, I quickly did something that I like to with little kids.
I took an empty spice
bottle, quickly moved it through the air ( spicy air ) in our shop,
then capped it
immediately. Kids love this. I give them to empty spice
bottle, but not really
empty, as it has our lovely smells, aromas, inside. Ruth handed
it to Barbara.
I said, " please Barbara, when you get high up on Mount Everest, could
you open
this bottle up and let our " Wauwatosa " air out up there to mingle
with the winds there?
.
Two years later she was in
the shop. She pulled out the very same bottle and handed it to
Ruth.
Yes,
she had let out the Wauwatosa air up there at 17,000 feet at the base
camp. But then she
did just as I did ...... quickly filled it with
Mount Everest air & immediatly sealed it. You know, here it
is some fifteen years later
....... the bottle sits in the back of our Spice House, still
unopened. We
are waiting for the exactly correct perfectly right time and place here
in Wauwatosa, to open it.
