Drop Cookies

Cream butter or margarine; add brown sugar and blend until it is smooth. Add beaten eggs. Add molasses. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and spices (reserving one-quarter cup of flour to dredge raisins and nuts), and add to first mixture alternately with milk, in which soda has been dissolved. Stir in flavoring extracts. Add floured raisins and nuts. Drop by teaspoonful on well greased baking sheet. Bake in hot oven (425° F.)  8 to 10 minutes.
