Butterscotch Cookies

Recipe from: The Story of Pure Vanilla, rewritten by R.C. Schlotterer.

Cook butter and sugar over low heat until bubbly, stirring constantly. Cool, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add remaining ingredients. Spread on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° F.  for about 25 minutes. Cut in squares while warm.
