       Spice-Work Apprentice " Entrepreneur-Studies " Weekly Wednesday Evening Meetings.

           What is this all about? What are the objectives of this study program? Is it for me?

        l. To accept young people with us only on the basis of them being interested in becoming
               what might be called " entrepreneurs ". This involves more than just working with
                Ruth & I at our Wauwatosa Spice House .... it also means studies of certain material
           on their own; not being paid for it; with the objective of having a small shop or small business
        of their own at some time in the future.

                     A. The study of what it is to develop "self reliance ".

                       B. The study of the unusual function of consciousness termed " attention ".
                                About " noticing "; about " observation "; about " self-obsevation ".

                  C. The study of what might be termed " quality ". What is quality? Where does it originate?
.
                     D. To be an entrepreneur requires a completely different attitude towards one's
                             relationships with others. One must accept friction & what might be termed
                                suffering. Both of these are illusions and small shop people; like Ruth & I,
                         must learn to rise above them. Friction & suffering are, yes, of course, illusions.
                           But since these illusions are connected, quite cleverly, to our emotional side; to
           our emotional centre, if we might say it this way, they are very painful illusions. Very painful indeed.
